Dog trainers and behaviourists with years of rescue experience and knowledge

Individual training plans for individual experiences, because we know, when it comes to rescue dogs, one size doesn’t fit all.

Our consultations give us a full picture of your dog’s world, home life, daily routine, health, and past experiences. These all play a role in dog behaviour, and it’s rarely just about ‘not enough training.’

By understanding what’s really going on, we can create a practical training plan that’s tailored to your dog and works in real life.

Positive Dog Power, has been instrumental in helping myself and my dog Pixie.
Pixie is a rescue, and has always been anxious around other dogs. Dannyelle has helped me through training to understand how to manage Pixie’s anxiety.
I have found the 121 training sessions very helpful, Dannyelle really cares and understands both dog and owner.

FAQ's

01

Does it matter if my rescue is afraid of people?

No - Our dog behaviourist can adapt sessions so that your dog is comfortable and introduced at your dogs pace.

03

What methods do you use?

Positive Dog Power are proud to be force free, using positive reward based methods to work with you and your dog. This means the dog is more likely to view the sessions as an enjoyable experience and increases their willingness to engage and learn.

02

Do have experience with rescue dogs with a difficult history?

Yes! Behaviourists at Positive Dog Power have an extensive background in rescue. We have worked with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and challenges.

04

How long should I wait between sessions?

This depends a lot on you and your dog! As a general rule, I recommend giving yourself a minimum of 1 week between sessions; this gives you plenty of time to work on the methods provided. However, specific plans will be discussed on a case by case basis.
